About Discovery House Preschool

I have been a child care provider for over 12 years. My focus and passion is the health, welfare and education of young children.'I believe it is my duty to meet the physical, social, intellectual and emotional needs of the children in my care'I consider myself a guide, a teacher, a mentor as well as a friend. I am friendly, warm and affectionate (child friendly!)'As a caregiver, I provide comfort for childrens physical and emotional injuries.'As a caregiver, it is my duty to stay in shape, so that I too, can participate in the fun activities planned for the children.'As a licensed child care provider it is my duty to participate in training seminars such as First Aid, Adult and Child CPR, AED and IMAT. I received my certificate in Child Development at Tidewater Technical College (May 2013) which has helped me instill new ideas and concepts into my family day home. I am currently attending classes to pursue my CDA credentials (Child Development Associate Credential).
