My professional conviction is that one can live fulfilling life only by addressing the health of both the mind and the body. Thus, effective psychiatry must assess all aspects of a patient's condition. Patients often see an MD for medication and a non-MD for therapy. This split treatment is too often suboptimal. I provide medication and psychotherapy for an empathic, validated, and integrated approach. Patients who, for any reason, prefer split treatments are always welcome, of course.
