The original J. Michael's opened in 1976 in the building that had housed Inez's Liquor Store and the Jersey Lily Saloon, and it quickly became a local favorite. After 16 years at that location, the restaurant closed in November 1992 and Mike took J. Michael's to the beach to carry on the tradition of serving his style of food to the beach residents. Now, after 20 years, Sue is bringing the 'old-style' of cooking and serving traditional J. Michael's favorites back to it's original side of the bridge.
